Pana Pride's Dumpster Project - You Called, We Hauled!
Pana Pride’s Dumpster project was a huge success. On Thursday, May 11th fortyeight Pana residents called to schedule a pick-up of their unwanted items. On Friday, May 12th twenty Pana Pride volunteers loaded and hauled away twenty-seven truck/ trailer loads of “junk” from Pana residences. The items collected filled four and a half dumpsters. Pana Pride members want to thank all the volunteers who donated their time to help us beautify our town. Paula Lebon, Doris Nollman, and Wendy Kroski assisted with the phone calls. A.J. Wiss, Jack Nollman, Phil Holthaus, Kermit Carrell, Duane Carrell, Lowell Sickles, Daniel Bland, and Leon Goff drove the their trucks/trailers, loaded, and unloaded the junk. Kent Young, Linda Marsh, Doris Nollman, Bert Crowe, Scott Rowcliffe, Albert Bouchez, Jake VanMeter, Kim Barger, and Tyler Barger helped load and unload the items. Joyce Posteher and Wendy Kroski made snacks and handed out water to the volunteers. Thank you to the City of Pana and Mayor Don Kroski for their support of this project. The next Pana Pride meeting will be on Tuesday, June 13th. Committee meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. and the group meeting is at 7:00 p.m. Over the summer months, the meetings will be held at the First United Methodist Church, located at 619 Kitchell St. Anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to attend a meeting or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
